NONIMMIGRANT VISAS
Nonimmigrant visas are issued to someone who will be in the U.S. only on a temporary basis – most commonly these are given to tourists and to temporary business visitors – people staying in the U.S. for a relatively short period of time. There are also many other nonimmigrant visa categories and several of these categories allow their holders to study or to work in the U.S. Unlike immigrant visas, it’s very easy to spot nonimmigrant visas because they all start with a letter – from A to V – and each of these visas allow some different type of activity.
Prompt Application Preparation
Our immigration law firm has assisted thousands of aliens in obtaining nonimmigrant visa status in order to work, train, study, or live in the U.S. on a temporary basis. We work together with the employer and the employee to determine the appropriate visa classification, taking into consideration factors such as timing, length of the assignment, the qualifications of the employee, and the background of the employer. Generally speaking, we are able to prepare a petition to submit to the USCIS requesting this visa classification within days of being retained.
